The role of the Harrogate Rambling Club Vice-President is to:

  • Provide communications support for the President regarding all aspects of the Club. In particular, preparation of notes for the AGM, and messages from the President for insertion in the Club Programme and/or e-mails.

  • Summarise the 'social events' of the previous year at the AGM. 

  • Review draft agendas and minutes of Committee meetings to support the General Secretary. 

  • Review drafts of the Programme to support the Programme Secretary. 

  • Review and help maintain the Financial Strategy to support the Treasurer.

  • Maintain Committee Procedures and Expense Claims on behalf of the Committee.

  • Facilitate workshops as and when needed (eg new grading system).

  • Produce documents explaining the background to, and reasons for, major changes.

  • Organise the UK holiday.

  • Perform as Acting President role in the absence of the President.

  • Participate in Committee Meetings.

  • Act as custodian of the Club’s 3 GPSs and maintain a log of members who have used  them. To ensure that supporting documentation and cables are also returned.
